Getting started

 
   
Skills in Swedenborgian Studies eases new students into the technicalities of Swedenborg’s writings, helps them understand how they learn, and encourages them to think about how serious they are about studying.
 
 
Sacred Scriptures
 
   
  Old Testament People is a study of major characters from the Old Testament and their spiritual significance for us.
 
Synoptic Gospels concentrates on the inner meaning of the first three Gospels and how it influences our lives.  

  Sacred Scripture seeks to lead  students towards a critical evaluation of the nature and value of Divine Revelation in all its different forms.
Principles of Life
 
   
Personal Worship encourages students to think about ways of worshipping the Lord in everyday life, not just in church on Sundays.
 
 
  A Pathway to Wholeness looks at the process of spiritual development that continues throughout our lives.
Spiritual World introduces Swedenborg’s teaching about life in heaven, and in hell.
 
 
Applying our Learning
 
   

 
  Pastoral Communication and Awareness encourages students to think about working with people who are in need of spiritual support and comfort.
Correspondences introduces students to the links that exist between the physical world that we live in, and the spiritual world that exists in parallel.  
  Communicating Personal Conviction encourages students to think about how they express their personal beliefs in writing and verbally.
