Come along to the Action for Happiness Get Together at Wellspring House and Tune into What Really Matters.
The aim of the session is to connect with others, discuss, share insights and find practical ways to take action to support your wellbeing and live a kinder life. The Get Together provides a chance to stop and tune-in to your experiences, with awareness and gratitude and find ways to make positive changes for yourself and others.
The session starts with a welcome, introductions and a mindfulness exercise. There is group discussion, time for action setting and the opportunity to chat informally over coffee. Hot drinks and biscuits are provided and you are welcome to bring your own snacks or sandwiches to eat during the break.
The content for each session is provided by Action for Happiness and this session will use the Active April Calendar as a focus for discussion. There are also links to follow up resources for those who would like to explore the topic further.
The session takes place at Wellspring House and is facilitated by Karen the Centre Leader. Karen attended the Action for Happiness – Exploring What Matters Course in 2017. She found the course enjoyable and useful and made some lasting friendships. As a result of the course Karen now incorporates mindfulness and meditation practices into her daily life. She has found this beneficial to her own wellbeing. Karen also facilitates an art for wellbeing group at Wellspring House, which combines art and mindfulness.
With enough support and interest, we hope these Get Togethers will become a regular event at Wellspring House. Karen said, ” The aim in hosting these get togethers is to gather as a supportive group, to make positive changes in our own lives. And by improving our own wellbeing create a ripple effect in the wider community.” So, if this sounds like it might interest you, please get in touch with Karen by emailing email@example.com
The session is free of charge, however Wellspring House welcomes a donation of £1 per person to help with the running costs of the building.
