Art for Wellbeing is a relaxing way to meet new people and create friendships and make art in the peaceful surroundings of Wellspring House.
Making art is a wonderful way to escape the stresses of everyday life and recharge our batteries.Taking part in creative activities is known to enhance mental health and wellbeing. Art for Wellbeing at Wellspring House is a peer led group. We are about getting well and staying well through social contact, fun, creativity and sharing skills and experiences.
Starting on 14 June 2017, our friendly Art for Wellbeing group meets weekly at Wellspring House. This is not an art course or a therapy group. There are no experts or art teachers. We are four people with an interest in wellbeing, who enjoy art and decided to start a group for people, from Radcliffe and surrounding areas, who share our interest in Art for Wellbeing.
We warmly welcome new members. Our aim is for this to be a fun and relaxing group so no previous art training is necessary just a willingness to get stuck in and try something new, while meeting people and enjoying good conversation.
Each meeting has a theme and new themes are suggested by members of the Group.
At our first meeting on 14 June, we are making Vision Boards. Some materials are provided and you might like to bring along some old magazines or brochures you can cut up and use for your Vision Board.
We start at 11.00am and finish at 1.00pm. Refreshments are provided and you are welcome to bring your own lunch and eat together at Wellspring House after the Art for Wellbeing meeting.
We ask all participants to make a £3 contribution towards the costs.
If this sounds like something you might enjoy then please contact Karen or Melanie on email@example.com to book.
We look forward to meeting you.
