Join our Reflective Autumn Walk in Springwater Park.

Setting off from Wellspring House at 2.00pm, we will walk in nearby Springwater Park.

Here we will take time out to enjoy the fresh air and explore the connection between the outer natural world and our spiritual life.

Many people find inner peace and wellbeing from spending time in nature. The beauty and resilience of the natural world often fills us with wonder and helps us to feel connected to a power greater than ourselves. Emanuel Swedenborg wrote, “There is nothing in the world of nature that does not portray something of the world of spirit.”

During our walk we will stop at various points to take notice of the world around us and reflect on the inner reality this contains. “Everything in Nature exists because it is a reflection of something in the spirit.” This and other extracts from Helen Newton and Becky Jarratt’s book Soul Symbols will support us in our explorations.

The walk will be led by Carolyn Kennion, supported by members of the Wellspring House Events Team. Following the walk we will return to Wellspring House for hot drinks and cake.

If you are joining us for the walk, you may wish to bring a packed lunch and eat before we set off. Wellspring House will be open from 12.30pm on the day of the walk.  On site parking is available.

Safety Note: we have assessed this walk as Easy. This means that the walk is unsuitable for anyone with a mobility difficulty, a specific health problem or anyone who is seriously unfit. Strong, comfortable shoes or walking boots should be worn and due to the time of year we recommend you bring waterproof clothing. We assessed the walk as Easy because it is mainly on paths, there are some moderately steep inclines and we will be making short, planned stops at regular intervals. Depending on the weather, paths may be muddy and water-logged in parts.  We ask participants to use their own judgement in deciding whether or not this walk in within their capabilities.

If you would like to join us, please email Karen on enquiries@solce.org.uk to reserve your place.

A contribution of £3 per person, to help with our costs, is requested. This can be paid on the day.

If you would like a copy of Helen and Becky’s Soul Symbols book, we have some on sale in our bookshop price £9.99 – get in touch if you would like to buy one.
