A Brief Introduction to some of Swedenborg’s Writings and the essential teachings of the New Church over four Saturday morning sessions.
This small group programme takes place in the friendly surroundings of Wellspring House and offers an opportunity to learn more about Swedenborg’s writings and gain an insight into some of the symbolic meaning contained in the Bible. Each session includes prayer, reading, discussion and opportunities for questions and personal reflections. The format is relaxed and informal. There will be time to share ideas and personal experiences and opportunity to explore the practical application of these important teachings.
The sessions are facilitated by Ray Kennion and provide an overview of New Church teachings, an opportunity for spiritual development and a place to connect with others. The programme will be of interest to anyone curious to find out more about Swedenborg and gain a better understanding of the New Church. For those interested in continuing their spiritual exploration beyond the group the Swedenborg Open Learning Centre offers a number of open learning modules including an Introduction to Swedenborgian Thought.
The New Church 101 4 week programme focuses on the following themes:
- The Lord
- The Word
- Love and Good Will
- Eternal Life
