Join us on Saturday 25 November for a Peace and Hope Workshop with Helen Newton.
This one day workshop includes guided meditations, discussion, reflection, creative exercises and circle dance.
2017 has been a turbulent year, many families and communities have been touched by tragedy. The terror attacks in Manchester, London and other parts of the world and the Grenfell Tower fire caused loss of life and life changing injuries for a huge number of people. At the same time, we have witnessed a response from communities that shows great strength, unity and hope for a better future. We have seen individuals come together in support those impacted, to rebuild their communities and to act as a force for good.
Mahatma Gandhi said, ‘You must be the change you wish to see in the world.’ Our workshop is about bringing people together to create peace. We will look at ways that we can find inner peace and from there through our thoughts, words and actions bring peace to our homes, our communities and in the world.
The cost of £15 per person includes hot drinks, biscuits. Lunch is a shared lunch, we provide soup and roll and participants are invited to bring their own food to share – this can be crisps, dips, cheese and biscuits, fruit, salad whatever you would like to bring.
This workshop is suitable for adults. We are an inclusive organisation and warmly welcome people of all faiths and none.
Our facilitator Helen Newton is an Interfaith Minister and experienced workshop leader.
