The Swedenborg Open Learning Centre provides a number of Stepping Stones courses which are completely free. Each of these will take around 10 hours to complete and carry 1 credit. However, there is a full range of awards and depending on the time you have available for study, one of the following should meet your needs:
A Foundation Award for receiving no less than 5 Credits. This will typically require around 50 hours study for one of our introductory courses.
An Intermediate Award for receiving no less than 10 Credits. This will typically require around 100 hours study of one of our further courses.
A Higher Award requires 20 Credits received. This will probably take no more than 200 hours of study of one of our further courses.
The Certificate in Swedenborgian Studies requires 120 Credits. This will probably take roughly 1200 hours (typically two years if studying part-time between 10-15 hours per week).
The Diploma in Swedenborgian Studies requires 240 Credits. This will probably take around 2400 hours (typically four years if studying part-time between 10-15 hours per week).
The Licentiate of the New Church College requires 360 credits including some practical training courses. This is a vocational programme of learning for sponsored students. It normally takes up to 3600 hours (typically three years of up to 25-30 hours per week).
